WHY I MAKE FILMS
Filmmaking is where my curiosity lives. It allows me to explore ideas, people, and moments without needing to box myself into a single lane. I’ve always been drawn to asking questions — about the world, about behavior, about meaning — and film gives me the space to chase those questions visually.I’m especially drawn to stories rooted in truth. Real events, real emotions, real people. Even when a story is fictionalized, I want it to feel grounded — something that could exist, something that feels lived in.
MY INSPIRATION
This film was inspired by a quote from Denzel Washington:
“If you hang around the barbershop long enough, sooner or later you’re gonna get a haircut.”
My take on that is simple — whatever you’re working toward, if you stay consistent and keep showing up, sooner or later you will get there.
The barbershop isn’t just a setting — it’s a metaphor. A place where people come as they are, speak honestly, and leave slightly changed. The film explores how insecurities surface in those quiet, familiar spaces, and how progress often happens without spectacle.
